Foreword from our founder

When I began Amirrah, I started with a simple belief: every parent and every child deserves to feel seen, supported, and safe. Too often, families navigating pregnancy, birth, reproductive choices, or the early years of parenting are left to carry overwhelming responsibilities and emotions alone. And too often, their struggles remain invisible.

Amirrah was created to change that.

Over the years, I have met young people carrying trauma they had no language for, parents who were exhausted but afraid to ask for help, and caregivers doing their very best without the guidance they needed but sadly riddled with myths. I have also witnessed the incredible transformation that happens when someone is finally given a safe space: the softening of fear, the rebuilding of confidence, the return of joy, and the possibility of healing. These experiences continue to shape our purpose.

Today, with the support of dedicated colleagues, partners, and community members, Amirrah is widening its reach — offering support for sexual and reproductive health choices as well as early childhood development services rooted in care, connection and dignity. The programmes we run exist because families deserve access to compassionate yet evidence-based support.

Our message is simple: Your choices matter. Your feelings matter. You are not alone. And you deserve help.

As we continue to grow, my hope is that Amirrah becomes not just a service, but a community: a place where care is unconditional, where healing is possible, and where every story is met with gentleness and respect.
